NEW HONOR CHOIR SEASON

The website has been updated for the 2018-19 honor choir season providing all of the details for auditioning students for any of the ACDA-MN seven honor choirs.  New this are the following items:

  • Addition of a new 9-10 TBB Honor Choir
  • Reduction in audition fee cost to $16.00 per audition
  • Music packets for selected students and directors will be sent to the schools via the music vendor
  • Signed Student Behavior Contracts will be utilized for the first time
  • Distribution of parent honor choir tickets to directors and students will be discontinued.  Parents will now need to purchase tickets online at Brown Paper Tickets or at the door.

STUDENT MEMBER CAMPAIGN

ACDA-MN will sponsor a special student member campaign in association with the ACDA national office.  NEW students will pay a discounted membership fee of $5, while both the state and national office will kick in a total of $30 for each student.  The membership drive will run officially from September 4 through October 19.  Please note that the deadline is firm.

ACDA-MN will be accepting applications for the next round of commissioning projects for the MMEA All-State Choir and the ACDA-MN Honor Choir programs with due date on October 15.

Minnesota (only) composers will be considered for two upcoming treble choir commissions:

  • 2020 ACDA-MN State 9-10 SSAA Honor Choir  (grades 9 & 10)
  • 2020-21 MMEA All-State SA Choir (grades 11 & 12)

Composers will be directed to complete an online personal profile application, and upload/submit the following items:

  • Three scores with corresponding mp3 recording files.  Treble choir scores preferred.
