Diana Lee Lucker

July 9, 1932 – January 15, 2022

Lucker, Diana Lee (Kennelly), age 89, of Chanhassen, MN passed away January 15, 2022. Born July 9, 1932 in Seattle, Washington, Diana Lee was an accomplished organist and classical pianist. She held church organist positions at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church and Wayzata Community Church. She was also Assistant Professor of Music at Augsburg College and Bethel College. Diana Lee’s passion was the pipe organ, and throughout her lifetime she showcased her love for the instrument through concerts and teaching. She was former dean of the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and served on the executive board and scholarship committee. She also hosted and performed for the Friday Music Club where she made lifelong friendships.

Diana Lee enjoyed travelling, especially abroad, spending time with her family, and attending the opera. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, parents William and Julia, brother Roy, son-in law Jack Schwartz, and great-granddaughter Leddi Peck. She is survived by daughters, Juli Schwart, Jenni DeVille, Jill Boddy, and their twelve children, step-daughters Mary Barrett, Paulette Sproull, Joan Aon, stepsons Matt and Dean Lucker, their eight children, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Memorials preferred to Pipedreams, AGO Program Committee or the Des Moines Metro Opera.
