Kari Lace is a native of Burnsville, Minnesota where she attended Burnsville High School and sang under the direction of Loren Squires. Kari is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Art degree in Music Education, Vocal and Instrumental K-12. She studied voice with Alice Larsen and piano with Kenneth Graber. Kari also holds a Master of Arts in Education from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. In addition to working with middle school choirs, Kari has directed church choirs in Owatonna and Anoka and maintained a private piano studio.
She has presented at both MMEA and ACDA conventions and is a recipient of Anoka Hennepin’s Teacher Outstanding Performance Award. This is Kari’s twenty-sixth year at Jackson Middle School where she teaches sixth and eighth grade choir and directs musical theater.
