About Ann Schrooten

Along with colleagues Philip Brown, Nancy Grundahl, and Elizabeth Egger, Ann Schrooten has been a member of the artistic team of Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs and Director of Cantabile since 2006. She also directs the children’s and youth choirs at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and sings professionally with the Ensemble Singers of VocalEssence; performing at the World Choral Symposium in Seoul, South Korea in August. In addition, Ann serves as the Chair of Repertoire and Standards for Community Children’s Choirs and Youth Community Choirs for the Minnesota chapter of the ACDA. Recently, she also joined the board of the Twin Cities chapter of Choristers Guild as President-Elect. A graduate of Saint Olaf College and the University of Minnesota with degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting, Ann has held sabbatical replacement positions at the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse and the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
