ACDA-MN’s Southeast district is proud to present the ACE Award to Jayne Rothschild, Executive Director of Honors Choirs of Southeast Minnesota. Jayne’s relentlessly positive, can-do attitude and unsurpassed work ethic inspire the entire Honors Choirs organization, from artistic and administrative staff, to board members, to singers and their families. Jayne has helped expand our program offerings to include singers in grades 1 through 12. She has coordinated and executed countless trips and tours, and has been an advocate in the corner of so many of our young people.

Jayne has volunteered hundreds of hours each year on top of her regular duties, doing everything from painting musical sets, to helping singers attain passports and visas to travel abroad, to lending a compassionate listening ear when there is a need. She has also volunteered to serve on Minnesota State Arts Board panels, both to give back to the artistic community and to draw inspiration from other creatives in our region. She masterfully builds relationships with partner corporations and organizations to keep the Honors Choirs program vibrant and relevant in the Rochester community.

Jayne is motivated by her big heart–and by a faith in music’s power to help young people discover their own paths, explore and express thoughts and emotions, learn the wisdom of community, and appreciate the deep inspiration of beauty. Jayne goes above and beyond–usually behind the scenes and without recognition–to ensure the success of our singers and our organization, and for this we cannot thank her enough!
